Shahadah means to declare Allah's oneness infront of the people openly, like how our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did, after giving dawah to Mushrikeen & Kafireen then Allah gave hidayah (guidance) to people who then became Sahaba(the companions) of Prophet Muhammad PBUH, these sahaba are the best ummah, so Shahadah is linked to dawah work to non-muslims, let's see what Allah & our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) teach us

“Say (O Muhammad SAW): "This is my way; I invite unto Allah (i.e. to the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) with sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me (also must invite others to Allah i.e., to the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) with sure knowledge”
[📗Quran, Surah Yousuf 12:108].

The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Convey from me, even if it is only one verse.”
📘al-Bukhaari, 3461

Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma‘roof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful”
[📗Quran, Surah Aal ‘Imraan 3:104]

“Invite (mankind, O Muhammad SAW) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Quran) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better”
[📗Quran, Surah an-Nahl 16:125]

📌What is more important? Giving dawah to non-muslims or muslims, it's both. All human beings are children of Prophet Adam(PBUH), So all human beings are blood siblings relations, there are some 7 billion+ non-muslims all over the world, some 2 billion muslims, imagine if we dont do dawah work to non-muslims what will happen to them in Hereafter? who will be reponsible for not showing Allah's deen & guidance to these 7 billion+ people? how can we let our blood brothers & sisters go to hell fire being unaware of Allah & Quran? As mentioned above in Quran & hadees it's every Muslim's duty to convey the message of Allah(Quran) to our fellow  non-muslim brothers/sisters. Giving guidance to them is Allah's wish, but we must do our duties, many non-muslims who converted to islam was due to the dawah work done on them*

Abu al-‘Abbas ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas(ra) reports:“One day I was riding (a horse/camel) behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he said, ‘Young man, I will teach you some words. Be mindful of God, and He will take care of you. Be mindful of Him, and you shall find Him at your side. If you ask, ask of God. If you need help, seek it from God. Know that if the whole world were to gather together in order to help you, they would not be able to help you except if God had written so. And if the whole world were to gather together in order to harm you, they would not harm you except if God had written so. The pens have been lifted, and the pages are dry.’ ”

🎯My request to all muslims, please how much dawah work you can do in your limits, you do it with hikmah & see Allah's door opening for you, Eg:What stopped  Firoun from punishing Prophet Musa PBUH when He gave dawah openly to Firoun calling to worship Allah alone while Firoun used to call himself God & he had huge powerful Army, but Allah made Firoun think that Prophet Musa PBUH might have come with super power/Magic so instead of punishing Musa PBUH he got scared & called Magicians to support him fight Musa PBUH, Allah will protect you how Allah protected Prophet Musa PBUH from Firoun, Prophet Ibrahim PBUH from Fire, Proohet Ismaeel from Knife, Proohet Younus from Whale.
