When women prostrate, their hands should be on the ground up to the elbows, or the elbows should be raised above the ground. Shaikh, Can you kindly tell me which one is correct?

ANSWER:

There's no difference, none whatsoever between the prayers of men and women. Prophet salla
Allahu alaihi wa sallam said, "Pray as you have seen me praying". This instruction is not just for
men, rather it's for both men and women. The way some women in the sub continent pray by
placing the whole arm on the ground while prostrating is forbidden and totally wrong as
Prophet salla Allahu Alaihi wa Sallam forbade this and said you should not prostrate like how a dog sits.
