Al-Fatihah is not merely an introduction to Qur’an rather it is a du’a for seeking the Right Guidance and Qur’an is the reply of that du’a. A person asks His Creator for guidance, and in response to the person’s du’a Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala presents the entire Qur’an. As if to state, this is the guidance that you seek. Subhan’Allah!
Al-Fatihah is a prayer where we are being taught not to put forward our request bluntly and abruptly, but to begin by acknowledging the excellences, favors and the highest position of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. We should remember Who we are talking to for it is only He Who blesses us with countless bounties. Subhan’Allah!

📕Therefore, we begin Al-Fatihah with the praise of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala Who is the Lord and Creator of this world and the Hereafter.
When we say Al-humdulillah, here ‘AL’ means all or the entire hence meaning all praise is for Allah alone.
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كُلُّهُ وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ كُلُّهُ
📕Reflections and Main Points
🔺Quran is Kalaam of Allah. It is kalaam of the One who created us.
Sahih International: The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely
🔺We have to analyse the condition of our hearts when Quran is recited to us.
✅Self Analysis: Can our hearts feel the Quran, do we intend to increase our Imaan through it, does it show in my actions, do we have tawakkul in Allah.
🔸Surah Al Fatihah
🔺First Complete Surah that was revealed.
🔺This Surah is Shifa for those that are suffering from physical or spiritual disease.
🔺Ayah 1. All Praise is for Allah since He is Our Khaaliq, Maalik, Rubb of All Alameen.
🔺Ayah 2. Allah is Most Merciful even though He is the Owner of everything. He forgives us for our sins.
🔺Ayah 3. He is Maalik so we need to turn to Him for everything.
🔺Ayah 4. Allah loves that we Praise Him.
🔺Ayah 5. We do Ibaadah of Allah Alone. Ibaadah is to submit with humility to Allah with our hearts, limbs. No arrogance, pride. We should do extra zikr, sajdahs to show humility.
🔺Ayah 5. We ask Allah alone for help. Allah is the One that puts in the hearts of others to help us, hence ask Allah.
🔺Ayah 6. The first important thing to ask is Guidance towards the Straight Path. A Person needs guidance more than Rizq. With Hidayah, the doors of Rizq open. Allah will provide Rizq from where we did not even anticipate.
✅To Do: We need to worry about hidayah, taqwa.
✅When facing difficulty staying in the Straight Path, remember Pul Sirat.
🔸In Saheeh al-Bukhaari (7439) and Muslim (183) it is narrated from Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) in a lengthy hadith: “……Then the bridge will be laid across Hell.’ We said, "O Messenger of Allah! What is the bridge?’ He said, ‘It is a slippery (bridge) on which there are clamps and (hooks like) thorns which are wide at one side and narrow at the other and have bent ends. A plant with such thorns is found in Najd and is called al-Sa'daan. Some of the believers will cross the bridge as quickly as the wink of an eye, some others as quick as lightning, a strong wind, or fast horses or she-camels. So some will be safe without any harm; some will be safe after receiving some scratches, and some will fall down into Hell (Fire). The last person will cross by being dragged (over the bridge).”
✅Ask Allah that we don't go astray, and that we stay firm on the Straight Path till we reach Pul Siraat, Jannah.
🔺Ayah 7. Ask Allah to keep us firm on the Path of those He has bestowed with His Grace.
1:7 Al-Faatiha
صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray.
📕In the last ayah of this beautiful Surah there is a lesson for each one of us; anyone who knows the truth but hides it has earned Allah’s anger and anyone who is not in search of truth may go astray.
🙏🏻We beseech Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to save us from following the path of such a person (or nation). We don’t want that path Ya Allah, save us from treading in their footsteps. Aameen Ya Rabbil Alameen. 💟

Surah Fatiha Explanation |
Should we say Aameen after Surah Fatihah?
It is recommended to say Aameen after finishing the recitation of Al-Fatihah. Aameen means, "O Allah! Accept our invocation.'' The evidence that saying Aameen is recommended is contained in what Imams Ahmad, Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi recorded, that Wa'il bin Hujr said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah recite,
غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ الضَّآلِّينَ
(Not (that) of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray), and he said `Aameen' extending it with his voice.'
Allahua'lam. الله أعلم (Allah knows best).
